Apple’s Major AI Move with iOS 27: Siri is Being Revamped!

Ana sayfa / News

Apple is planning the biggest change to date for Siri, the voice assistant it launched more than a decade ago. According to a new report published by Bloomberg, the company is testing a standalone Siri application. Within the scope of this new strategy, a redesigned interface and a new “Ask Siri” button are also being developed. Thus, it is aimed to make the assistant much more visible and useful across the entire Apple ecosystem.

A Historic Transformation for Siri

This major innovation is expected to be introduced at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) to be held on June 8, 2026. It is stated that the updated voice assistant will be offered to users with the iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 versions to be released later this year. According to leaked information, the new assistant will move away from being a built-in tool and provide the feel of a standalone AI chatbot like ChatGPT or Claude.

This move is a continuation of the plans leaked in January for the company to compete better with OpenAI and Google. Apple had previewed a more personalized assistant at the WWDC 2024 event, but the wider release was postponed. Now, a much more comprehensive relaunch is aimed for with iOS 27.

Since no official announcement has been made by Apple yet, there is a possibility of changes in the plans before WWDC. Company officials have not yet responded to requests for comment on the matter.
